Medical Oxygen Production Plant for Hospital, Industrial

Functioning of the technology is based on the process cycle of Linde & Claude, which was developed in 1930s and has been updated many times since then.  Linde process is used in the fabricating of the plant machinery in all of Europe. We fabricate plant machinery in different sizes and capacities ranging from 20m3/hour to 50,000m3/hour.

Basic Principle:

Our medical oxygen production plants use atmospheric air which entered into the molecular sieve purification system where the process air gets separated from the carbon dioxide and moisture. Then, it is liquefied by cryogenic cooling by using the latest plate and fin, high efficiency heat exchangers and expanders. Afterwards, the liquefied air gets divided into oxygen, nitrogen and various other inert gases in the air separation column.

Scope and Supply:

1. Air compressor
Air is compressed at a low pressure of 5-7 bar using the latest compressor (screw/centrifugal type).
2. Pre Cooling System
In the second stage, a refrigerant is used for pre-cooling the process air to temperature around 12 degrees Celsius before it enters the purifier. 
3. Purification of Air by Purifier
Air is made to go inside a purifier made of twin molecular sieve driers, working alternatively. The sieve separates the moisture and carbon dioxide from the process air before it enters the air separation unit. 
4. Cryogenic Cooling of Air by Expander
Air is cooled to sub zero temperatures for liquefaction and cryogenic refrigeration. Cooling is provided by highly efficient expander. Air is cooled to temperatures below -165 to -170 degrees Celsius.
5. Separation of Liquid Air into Oxygen and Nitrogen by Air Separation Column
Moisture and carbon dioxide are removed from the air before it enters the low pressure plate fin type heat exchanger where it is cooled below sub zero temperatures by air expansion process in the expander.  On reaching the air separation column, air gets liquefied and is separated into oxygen and nitrogen by the process of rectification.

6. Filling tanks/cylinders
It is the last step where compressed oxygen is directed to high pressure cylinders at 150 bar or higher. In case of liquid oxygen, it is stored in cryogenic tanks.
